14th Annual Fall Charity Golf Festival Benefits CHKD
Popular Lake Wright Tourney Seeks Players, Sponsors
HAMPTON ROADS, Va.—The Tidewater Association of Convenience Stores and Automotive Repair will host the 14th Annual Children’s Hospital of The King’s Daughters Fall Charity Golf Festival October 15 at the Lake Wright Golf Course in Norfolk. The event will be a Florida best ball competition with a shotgun start at 11 a.m.
Entry fee is $125 per player and includes green fees, cart, on-course refreshments, numerous prizes and a post-tournament dinner. Corporate and group sponsorship opportunities also are available. The popular tournament is an annual sellout, so early registration is encouraged.
Additionally, area businesses may donate prizes for awards and raffle, which will benefit CHKD. Last year’s event raised more than $21,000 for the hospital.
Major tournament sponsors are Anheuser-Busch and Atlantic Dominion Distributors. For more information or to register, Contact Charlie Scaglione, tournament treasurer, at (757) 287-3896.
Children's Hospital of The King's Daughters is the only facility of its kind in Virginia, serving the medical and surgical needs of children throughout greater Hampton Roads, the Eastern Shore of Virginia and northeastern North Carolina.
