Be a "Change Bandit" for CHKD
Activity Supports 94.9 The Point Radiothon to Benefit Children's Hospital
HAMPTON ROADS, Va.—Want to be a “change bandit” for Children’s Hospital of The King’s Daughters? Here’s your chance!
In conjunction with the annual 94.9 The Point Radiothon, a marathon 4-day “live” broadcast and hospital fund raiser, November 13-16, from the lobby of Children’s Hospital of the King’s Daughters, the radio station and CHKD are recruiting from area businesses and organizations persons to serve as “change bandits”. A “change bandit’s” job will be to rid their co-workers, family and friends of the spare change in their desk drawers, pockets and purses. Traditionally, the “change bandit” campaign works best within individual companies or office buildings that house several businesses.
On Wednesday, November 12, “change bandits” will travel through their respective buildings or offices collecting spare change for CHKD and will subsequently turn in the funds raised during the 4-day broadcast at the hospital.
Interested individuals and businesses should
register online. CHKD will send out “change bandit” information packets that contain posters, a collection bag and CHKD stickers to all those who wish to participate. For more information, call CHKD community relations at (757) 668-7070.
