Children's Health Foundation Board Elects New Officers
HAMPTON ROADS, Va.—Children’s Hospital of The King’s Daughters recently announced the election of three new officers of its Children’s Health Foundation board of directors.
Elected to their new CHF board positions are: Conrad Hall, Norfolk, vice chairman; Karen Priest, Norfolk, treasurer; and Ron Dennis, Virginia Beach, secretary. Hall is president and chief executive officer of Trader Publishing Co. Priest is an assistant vice president with Heritage Bank & Trust. Dennis is president and chief operating officer of Farm Fresh.
The Children’s Health Foundation board is charged with establishing sound investment policies resulting in the conservation and protection of assets related to the charitable, educational and scientific areas of CHKD.
CHKD is the regional pediatric referral center serving Hampton Roads, the Eastern Shore of Virginia and northeastern North Carolina. The not-for-profit hospital was founded in 1961 on the philosophy children deserve the highest quality of medical care regardless of their family’s ability to pay. Today there are more than 5,900 inpatient admissions and more than 99,000 outpatient visits. The Emergency Center handles an additional 43,000 visits each year. CHKD provides dozens of services ranging from the routine issues of childhood to the extreme complexities of chronic diseases and traumatic injuries.
