CHKD to Benefit from Golden Corral Fundraiser
HAMPTON ROADS, Va.—For the fifth consecutive year, Golden Corral restaurants and WVEC 13 News are sponsoring “Miracle Night” to help patients at Children’s Hospital of The King’s Daughters. On Tuesday, May 4 from 5 p.m. to 9 p.m., visit any Golden Corral restaurant located in Virginia Beach, Norfolk, Chesapeake, Newport News, Hampton, Williamsburg, Franklin, Ahoskie, or Elizabeth City to help raise money for kids.
When you donate $1 or more to Children’s Hospital of The King’s Daughters, you will receive a FREE kid’s meal with the purchase of any adult entrée. CHKD Miracle Balloons will also be available for an additional donation of $1.
Last year, “Miracle Night” patrons raised more than $32,000 for Children’s Hospital of The King’s Daughters, and this year the goal is to raise even more for the kids who receive treatment at CHKD.
Children’s Hospital of The King’s Daughters is the only facility of its kind in Virginia, and serves the medical and surgical needs of children throughout greater Hampton Roads, the Eastern Shore of Virginia, and northeastern North Carolina. The not-for-profit hospital was founded in 1961 and provides care to nearly 150,000 children each year as inpatients and outpatients, addressing routine and complex illnesses, injuries and chronic conditions. The CHKD Health System operates primary care pediatric practices, surgical practices, multi-service Health Centers, and satellite offices throughout its service region.
