Softball Game to Benefit CHKD

The King and His Court to play local team

HAMPTON ROADS, Va.—The world-famous 4-man softball team “The King and His Court” will play a game to benefit Children’s Hospital of The King’s Daughters, July 25, 4 p.m., at War Memorial Stadium in Hampton. Tickets are $10 per person; children age 5 and under are free. They will face a team of players from the Nautilus Society and area fast pitch softball leagues; Coach Bryan Cave of the Northrop Grumman Newport News Apprentice School will lead the locals. The game is being organized and sponsored by the Nautilus Society of Reactor Test Engineers of Northrop Grumman and the Peninsula Pilots Baseball Club. Children's Hospital of The King's Daughters is the only facility of its kind in Virginia, serving the medical and surgical needs of children throughout greater Hampton Roads, the Eastern Shore of Virginia and northeastern North Carolina. The not-for-profit hospital was founded in 1961 and provides care to nearly 150,000 children each year as inpatients and outpatients, addressing routine and complex illnesses, injuries and chronic conditions.
