HARLEY AND CASH RAFFLE TO BENEFIT CHKD
HAMPTON ROADS, Va -- The Kiwanis clubs of Hampton Roads are raffling off chances to win a 2004 Harley Davidson Heritage Softail motorcycle and $25,000 in cash - all to purchase a new mobile intensive care unit for Children’s Hospital of The King’s Daughters.
The grand prizewinner will not only win the motorcycle but will also receive $25,000 in cash. Second prize is $5,000 and third is $2,500. The first ticket drawn and every 20th ticket drawn will receive $100. Tickets are $50 each, but only 2,500 will be sold. Odds of winning a prize are 1 in 20.
Tickets can be purchased at any Bank of Hampton Roads location, Southside Harley Davidson in Virginia Beach and Hampton Roads Harley Davidson in Yorktown. The drawing will be held on June 5 at the Hampton Roads Harley Davidson store.
CHKD's mobile intensive care units are specially equipped with the technology needed to care for critically ill and injured children of all sizes - from tiny premature newborns to full-grown teens. The vehicles bring children from other area hospitals to Children's Hospital, all while providing the same level of intensive care the child will receive once at CHKD.
Transports are arranged from all across Hampton Roads, including the Peninsula, the Eastern Shore and northeastern North Carolina and the Outer Banks. Each vehicle makes more than 1,200 trips each year resulting in nearly 50,000 miles of travel.
