Win a New Car and Help CHKD
HAMPTON ROADS, Va.
— A brand new VW Beetle convertible, donated by Southern Hospitality Automotive Group, will be given away to a lucky donor of Children's Hospital of The King's Daughters. The drawing will be held Sunday, June 4, at 11 p.m.
Raffle tickets are $100. They may be purchased online at www.chkd.org
between now and 8 p.m. on June 4th. They may also be "purchased" by making a gift of $100 or more on a major credit card during CHKD's 2006 Telethon Celebration, Sunday, June 4, from 3 to 8 p.m. on WVEC TV-Channel 13.
The hospital's annual Telethon is its most important fund-raiser and organizers hope that the car raffle will encourage more donors to call in pledges. Proceeds from the raffle and the Telethon will help fund CHKD's pediatric programs and services.
Children's Hospital of The King's Daughters is the only facility of its kind in Virginia, serving the medical and surgical needs of children throughout greater Hampton Roads, the Eastern Shore of Virginia and northeastern North Carolina. The not-for-profit hospital was founded in 1961 and provides care to approximately 162,000 children each year as inpatients and outpatients, addressing routine and complex illnesses, injuries and chronic conditions. The CHKD Health System operates primary care pediatric practices, surgical practices, multi-service Health Centers and satellite offices throughout its service region. The organization also includes a child care center, health education initiatives and a multitude of avenues through which our very generous community provides philanthropic support.
