101.3 2WD To Help CHKD Cure Kids Cancer Through Coins for a Cure Promotion

HAMPTON ROADS, Va. – Radio station 101.3 2WD is sponsoring Coins for a Cure in conjunction with the Cure Kids Cancer Radiothon to benefit Children’s Hospital of The King’s Daughters on July 25 and 26.

Coins for a Cure is a fund-raising event in which volunteers ask their co-workers to clean out the change in their desk drawers, pockets and purses. The volunteers then turn in the monies collected to the CHKD lobby anytime during the Cure Kids Cancer Radiothon.

Volunteers who register to collect coins will receive two posters and stickers to help promote the event and collect money in their workplaces. For more information or to register, log onto or fax your name, company name and other pertinent information to CHKD at (757) 668-7350 or call (757) 668-7070.
