Be a Change Bandit for CHKD, Dec. 5
Activity Supports 94.9 The Point Radiothon to Benefit Children’s Hospital
HAMPTON ROADS, Va. – Businesses and organizations can help the children at Children’s Hospital of The King’s Daughters by recruiting staff members and friends to be “Change Bandits” on Tuesday, December 5, in conjunction with the 94.9 The Point Radiothon.
The annual four-day Radiothon fund-raiser, broadcast live from the hospital’s lobby December 7-10, is always preceded by “Change Bandit Day.” That’s when volunteers from across Hampton Roads don Western wear and visit their families, friends and coworkers to collect spare change for the children at CHKD.
The campaign typically works best within individual companies or office buildings that house several businesses. Change Bandits then turn in the money collected to the CHKD lobby anytime during the four-day broadcast.
Those interested in being a Change Bandit can register online at www.chkd.org or call (757) 668-7070. CHKD will then send out information packets with posters, a collection bag and CHKD stickers. For more information, call CHKD community relations at (757) 668-7070.
