Merck Vaccine Recall
Merck vaccine recall
Merck & Co has voluntarily recalled over one million doses of vaccines that protect against pneumonia and meningitis The recall is a precautionary measure taken because equipment used in manufacturing the vaccines was found to be contaminated with bacteria. No vaccine has been found to be contaminated. Federal health officials say that children who have already received the vaccine are not at risk and that none of the children who have received the vaccine will need to be re-immunized.
