Be a Change Bandit for CHKD, Nov. 1-30
Activity Supports 94.9 The Point Radiothon
HAMPTON ROADS, Va. – Individuals, businesses and organizations can help the children at Children’s Hospital of The King’s Daughters by recruiting friends and staff members to be “Change Bandits” in conjunction with the 94.9 The Point Radiothon, the annual four-day fund-raiser which will broadcast live from the hospital’s lobby Dec. 10-13.
In a change from previous years, it won’t be a single day of fundraising. Instead, all of November will be “Change Bandit Month.” The change was made in response to the many “Bandits” who requested more time and flexibility with collecting donations. Now, participants can collect for one day, one week or the whole month.
In addition to in-person fundraising, individual or team fundraising pages can be set up to solicit donations using a new online tool. Pages can be customized and will track how much has been raised as the donations are received.
At the end of Change Bandit month, CHKD will host a “Bandit Bash” to say thank you to participants. Details will be sent out once registrations are received. Beginning mid-October, those interested in being a Change Bandit can register online at www.chkd.org/ChangeBandits or call (757) 668-707o. For more information, call CHKD community relations at (757) 668-7070.
