HAMPTON ROADS, Va.—Kohl’s Department Stores, through the Kohl’s Care for Kids campaign, recently presented Children’s Hospital of The King’s Daughters with a check for $68,869 to support a year-long lecture series on children’s health and wellness.

This is the fifth year Kohl’s has supported the hospital’s health education effort and brings their total contribution over that time to more than $250,000.

The money presented to CHKD is raised by Kohl’s through the sale of books, compact discs and stuffed animals in their department stores throughout Hampton Roads, with all of the $5 price for each item coming to the hospital.

The CHKD community outreach and education program supported by Kohl’s –Family Forum – will bring programs with nationally noted experts to the region to speak on a variety of children’s health and wellness topics.
