CHKD Medical Group opens new primary care practice
SUFFOLK, VA– CHKD's Children's Medical Group will open the newest of its primary care practices for children on April 1. Nansemond Pediatrics will be located near Obici Hospital at 100 Commercial Lane, Suite 220, Suffolk.
The addition of Nansemond Pediatrics brings to 15 the number of CHKD operated practices with more than 20 locations throughout Hampton Roads, from Williamsburg and Gloucester to Elizabeth City, N.C.
Veteran pediatricians joining Children's Medical Group at the new practice will be Richard Curry, MD, Pete Grosso, MD, Diane Chirico, MD and Katie McCormick, MD.
Nansemond Pediatrics will offer newborn hospital care, free prenatal get-acquainted visits for expectant parents, convenient office hours, after-hours nurse line, routine and emergency care for children from birth to age 21, and free age-appropriate books at regular visits through CHKD's Reach Out and Read program.
Through its close association with Children's Hospital of The King's Daughters, Nansemond Pediatrics will have quick access to the pediatric specialists of CHKD and to CHKD's full range of ancillary services.
CHKD is the only freestanding, full-service children’s hospital in Virginia and serves the medical and surgical needs of children throughout greater Hampton Roads, the Eastern Shore of Virginia and northeastern North Carolina.
