Kohl’s sponsored free public programs in January
HAMPTON ROADS, Va.—The following free public programs sponsored by Kohl’s Department Stores will be offered by CHKD Health System in January.
January 16, Happiest Baby on the Block. Free. 10 a.m – 12 p.m. CHKD – 6th Floor Conference Room, 601 Children’s Lane, Norfolk. This two-hour class for expectant and new parents will help Mom and Dad navigate the first months of Baby's life while learning how to soothe even the fussiest infant in minutes and help Baby sleep longer. Parents will learn about the calming reflex, the cuddle cure and the "5 Ss." All participants will receive "The Happiest Baby on the Block" DVD by Dr. Harvey Karp and a soothing sounds CD. January 28, Parenting Challenges and Practical Solution. Free. 7 – 9 p.m. CHKD Brickhouse Auditorium, 601 Children’s Lane, Norfolk. Parents session - for an enlightening discussion of everything you ever wanted to know about parenting ... from preschool tantrums to elementary school sassy talk to peer group pressures and bullies.
