Children’s Specialty Group donates $100,000 to CHKD
HAMPTON ROADS, Va. – Children’s Specialty Group PLLC, the region’s only multispecialty pediatric practice, recently donated $100,000 to Children’s Hospital of The King’s Daughters, bringing to $1.6 million the amount the group has contributed. CHKD pediatric neurologist Dr. Svinder Toor, president of CSG, said that his colleagues want to do everything possible to further CHKD’s mission.
“My partners, who work day and night at CHKD, appreciate how important the hospital is to this community,” said Dr. Toor, who has practiced at CHKD since 1988. “We are all committed to the hospital’s success because it is really a jewel of Hampton Roads.”
The physicians of CSG represent 22 pediatric specialties, including allergy, neonatology, endocrinology, neurology, cardiology, rheumatology and medical genetics. They deliver their care at CHKD facilities throughout the region. Their expertise guides the clinical services CHKD offers, but their contributions extend far beyond the care they give.
“Besides this contribution from the organization, many of the physicians also make personal contributions,” CSG chief executive officer Frank Singleton said. “Some even have created endowment funds.” Programs such as CHKD’s Child Abuse Program, singled out for CSG support, would not be possible without such contributions.
“I have been blessed to work with wonderful partners in CSG,” Dr. Toor added. “They are glad to support what they believe in.”
