CHKD searching for former patients as 50th anniversary approaches
NORFOLK – In 2011, Children’s Hospital of The King’s Daughters (CHKD) will celebrate half a century of hospital care in the region. As the 50th anniversary approaches, CHKD is looking for former patients, especially those treated in the 60s and 70s. We’d like to hear recollections from patients and parents to help us form a meaningful history spotlighting the lives CHKD has touched.
Former patients and their families can contact (757) 668-7554 or e-mail Greg.Lampman@chkd.org to share their stories.
CHKD is the only freestanding, full-service children’s hospital in Virginia and serves the medical and surgical needs of children throughout greater Hampton Roads, the Eastern Shore of Virginia and northeastern North Carolina. The not-for-profit hospital was founded in 1961 and provided care to more than 171,000 children last year as inpatients and outpatients, addressing routine and complex illnesses, injuries and chronic conditions.
