Children’s Health System to purchase medical office building
HAMPTON ROADS, Va.—Children’s Health System, parent company of Children’s Hospital of The King’s Daughters, has entered into an agreement with Medical Tower Associates, LLC, to purchase the Medical Tower on the Norfolk medical center campus. Terms of the agreement are confidential.
“We are extremely pleased about this solution to our growing need for space,” says Jim Dahling, President and CEO of Children’s Health System. “As demand for our care increases and new technology and treatments evolve, we must find more room for clinical services within the hospital,” he continued. “The Medical Tower’s proximity to CHKD makes it an ideal place to relocate services that need to be close to -- but not within -- the hospital.”
Tenants currently in the Medical Tower will remain in the building under their existing leases. S.L. Nusbaum will continue its management of the building.
