No Frill Bar and Grill launches 15th CHKD fundraiser

HAMPTON ROADS, Va. –- During the month of February, you can sample the artichoke dip and the key lime pie at both locations of No Frill Bar and Grill restaurant knowing the restaurant will donate $1 to Children’s Hospital of The King’s Daughters (CHKD) for every appetizer and dessert on the menu.

This is the 15th year that No Frill Bar and Grill has raised money for the hospital. To date, the restaurant has donated more than $47,000 to CHKD.

“It’s really wonderful that the No Frill Bar and Grill has continued to do this for 15 years in a row,” said CHKD Executive Director of Development Karen Gershman. “There’s something wonderful about the fact that CHKD continues to generate such strong support from community businesses like the No Frill Bar and Grill.”

Diners at the restaurant’s Norfolk location in Ghent, 806 Spotswood Ave., or the Virginia Beach location at Hilltop, 1620 Laskin Road, can enjoy a meal knowing they’re raising money to help sick children get better.

CHKD is the only freestanding children’s hospital in Virginia and serves the medical and surgical needs of children throughout greater Hampton Roads, the Eastern Shore of Virginia and northeastern North Carolina. CHKD Health System operates primary-care pediatric practices, surgical practices, multi-service Health Centers and satellite offices throughout its service region.
