94.9 "The Point" to hold 11th annual Radiothon starting December 5

HAMPTON ROADS, Va. -- Radio station 94.9 The Point will broadcast its annual Radiothon to benefit CHKD live from the hospital’s lobby from Wednesday, December 5, through Saturday, December 10.

Morning show hosts Chuck and Woo Woo will set up a radio studio in the CHKD lobby and interview patients live, and play pre-taped montages about patients, sharing stories of courage and hope. They will broadcast from 6 a.m. to 6 p.m. December 5-7 and from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. December 8.

All money raised will be used to purchase equipment, fund research and provide patient care programs at CHKD. Listeners can phone in pledges during the Radiothon by calling (757) 668-9000 or donate online at CHKD.org/Giving/Donate.
