The Point 94.9 Radiothon raises $321,882 for CHKD
HAMPTON ROADS, Va. -- 94.9 The Point raised $321,882 during their 11th annual Radiothon broadcasting from the CHKD lobby in Norfolk.
DJs Chuck and Woo Woo set up a radio station in the lobby for four days and interviewed patients who overcame the odds to survive cancer and other life-threatening illnesses.
Including the amount presented Saturday, The Point Radiothon 94.9 has raised more than $3.2 million for CHKD.
The Point 94.9 Radiothon ran from Wednesday, December 5 until Saturday December 8.
All money raised will be used to purchase equipment, fund research and provide patient care programs at CHKD.
