Ringling Bros. and Barnum & Bailey Circus clowns visit Children’s Hospital of The King’s Daughters

NORFOLK, Va. - The patients at Children’s Hospital of The King’s Daughters will receive some special guests on April 10 – visiting members of Clown Alley from Ringling Bros. and Barnum & Bailey’s production of Built to Amaze!.   The Ringling Clowns will go straight from their arriving train to the Norfolk Scope to get in costume, then on to Children’s Hospital of The King’s Daughters, where they will perform for a group of young patients. Their antics will include a juggling demonstration, illusions, pratfalls and other gags from Built to Amaze!

“A visit from Ringling Bros. is always a treat for our young patients,” said Shannon Hood, CHKD Child Life Manager. “It gives them a chance to laugh and relax – something important for their treatment process.”

A visit from the Ringling Clowns is an opportunity to provide some an afternoon of fun to those children who cannot make it to the performance.

Ringling Bros. and Barnum & Bailey® presents Built To Amaze! opening at the Norfolk Scope April 11, with performances through April 14.  Performances will continue at the Hampton Coliseum April 17-21.
