Full and part-time employees at CHKD Health System can select from a wide range of health insurance and benefit options including medical, dental and vision.

Holidays

CHKD Health System recognizes six holidays during the year.

The six holidays CHKD Health System observes are:

  • New Year's Day
  • Memorial Day
  • Independence Day
  • Labor Day
  • Thanksgiving Day
  • Christmas Day

Paid Time Off (PTO)

All full-time and part-time benefit eligible employees accrue Paid Time Off (PTO) from the date of employment.  Accrual is based on hours paid (maximum of 80 hours per pay period), years of service and job classification.  PTO can be used for personal time, sickness and vacation. 

Tax Sheltered Savings and Matching Plan

CHKD Health System offers its employees (age 21 and over) the opportunity to participate in pre-tax 403b/401k or after-tax Roth 403b/401k plans. CHKD begins matching after one year of employment.  Employees are immediately vested. CHKD has an on-site representative who is available to meet individually with employees and discuss their retirement goals.

Tuition Reimbursement

CHKD encourages employees to complete or continue any education that relates to their job and offers tuition reimbursement for qualified employees. Full-time or part-time benefit eligible employees are eligible for tuition reimbursement after they've completed their 90-day introductory period. Full-time benefit eligible employees are eligible for up to $2,000 per fiscal year, and part-time benefit eligible employees are eligible for up to $1,000 per fiscal year.
