Nansemond Pediatrics (CMG)

Nansemond Pediatrics is a family- and community-oriented practice that specializes in the primary care of infants, children and adolescents. Our pediatricians have a long history of practicing in the Suffolk area and more than 70 years of combined pediatric experience. We are committed to providing the highest standard of care for our patients and their families. All of our physicians are board certified by the American Board of Pediatrics.

Our goal is to help children enjoy good health and development from infancy through adolescence. We strive to provide child-friendly, exceptional quality medical care in an environment that is inviting and comfortable for the entire family. Our staff was carefully selected to ensure that our patients are always treated with the kindness, compassion and care we would expect for our own family and friends. We strive to work together to keep your children healthy, safe, happy and on a path to reach their fullest potential. We want our patients and families to look forward to visiting us as much as we look forward to seeing them.

In addition to caring for your child’s health needs, our pediatricians and staff enjoy assisting families with the joys and challenges of parenting. As an extension of our philosophy, we participate in the Reach Out and Read program, newborn parenting and breastfeeding classes, and community events that focus on children’s health and well-being. We have easy access to specialty care available at Children’s Hospital of The King’s Daughters. We are strong supporters of breastfeeding mothers and work closely with lactation consultants to ensure breastfeeding success.

Our providers foster partnerships between the physician, patient, parents and the community in the management of your child’s health. We encourage families to choose a primary care physician who will be their child’s primary provider for regular checkups and immunizations. We offer prenatal get-acquainted visits and same-day appointments upon request. On-site billing representatives are also available to help with billing questions or concerns.

Nansemond Pediatrics is conveniently located just off Godwin Boulevard, in Godwin Commerce Park, near Sentara Obici Hospital. We’re only a short drive from northern Suffolk/Harbour View, Western Branch, Smithfield, Chuckatuck, Franklin and Gates County.
