The participant will be able to:
- State current diagnostic measures and treatment modalities for the high-risk mother, fetus and neonate.
- Recall outcome data on selected cases of patients referred from regional hospitals and identify opportunities to improve patient outcomes.
- Describe care and stabilization of the maternal and neonatal transport process to ensure safe and orderly transport of patients.

The Twelfth Annual Pediatric Emergency Medicine Update

This professional educational conference is designed to provide emergency physicians, pediatricians, family practitioner and other healthcare providers with state-of-the-art evidence-based information in pediatric emergency medicine. The morning session will begin with the 15th Annual Forrest White Visiting Lectureship presented by Joseph Wright, MD, MPH. Dr. Wright will discuss the last 25 years of emergency medical services for children as well as visual diagnosis in pediatric emergency medicine.
Emergency medicine staff from Children’s Hospital of The King’s Daughters Emergency Center will present a variety of topics pertinent to pediatric emergency care through lectures and case presentations. Topics include pediatric resuscitation strategies, fever of unknown origin, conversion disorders, bedside ultrasound and oromaxillofacial issues in the emergency department.
