"I was drawn to CHKD because of their focus on the health and needs of children specifically. The ability to access multiple services and specialties all in the local area lets me do my job better and ensure the best care possible for my patients."

Dr. Steiner’s interest in medicine and caring for children came from her unusual start in life. She was a premature infant and spent 3 months in the hospital. Dr. Steiner was cared for by a general pediatrician because neonatal intensive care units were not common when she was born. As she got older and looked for a career path, it was this history that inspired her to help children be born healthy and grow up to achieve all that they possibly can.
