(HealthDay News) -- Parents may be worried that toddlers aren't getting enough calories or nutrients.

According to the American Academy of Family Physicians, these picky eating habits are common in toddlers and are usually not cause for worry:

  • Eating only a couple of foods offered.

  • Avoiding new foods.

  • Refusing to eat a food that was once favored.
