CHKD's Surgeons
CHKD Health System provides surgical specialties through an organization called the Children’s Surgical Specialty Group (CSSG). Our surgeons have met stringent requirements and certifications in their specific area of pediatric surgery. As CHKD members, they have access to provide services to patients from birth to 21 years of age.
At the CHKD main hospital in Norfolk, we provide inpatient and outpatient surgical care from the most complex surgeries to very minor outpatient procedures. We offer outpatient procedures for patients by surgical specialists at our Oyster Point Ambulatory Surgery Center in Newport News. This Fall, outpatient procedures will be extended to our new Health and Surgery Center at Princess Anne in Virginia Beach.
