Scheduling an Office Appointment

To schedule an appointment please call our scheduling line at (757) 668-8529 Monday - Friday from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. If you reach our voicemail, please leave a message and your call will be returned the same business day.

Your Office Visit

A surgical office is a busy place. There is a great deal you can do to help our office fun more smoothly for everyone.

  • Please arrive at our office 15 minutes prior to your scheduled appointment time. Bring a picture ID and your insurance card.
  • If your child has had testing (x-rays, ultrasounds, lab work) at another facility and it is related tothe condition that you are visiting us for, please bring those result with you. Our surgeons need the written report and a copy of the actual x-ray, ultrasound, CT Scan or MRI. Other facilities will typicall place this information on a CD for you.
  • If you have any forms that need copmletion, please let us know when you schedule your visit and again when you check-in.
  • If you need to reschedule your appointment, please provide at least 24 hours notice whenever possible so we can offer the time to other patients.
  • If you are running late for your appointment please contact our office. Our surgeons sometimes cover two office locations in one day and may leave to get to a second office location.

What if I miss my appointment?
Please contact our office as soon as you know you will not be able to make a scheduled appointment so we can offer it to another family.

How do I know if you participate with my insurance?
REview your plan directory or contact your insurance company to make sure our practice or physician particpates with your insurance.

Where do I seek treatment when the practice is not open?
In cases of emergency or life-threatening illness, you should go to the CHKD Emergency Room. If the CHKD ER is not within a close distance, you should proceed to the closest emergency room.
