Radiology & Imaging
The mission of the radiology/imaging department at Children's Hospital of The King's Daughters is to provide the highest quality diagnostic images to facilitate quality patient care and to expedite patient diagnosis. We take the time to earn your child's confidence by ensuring that the child understands what is about to take place. By gaining the child's confidence, the procedure is less traumatic for both child and parent. We take pride in making our patients feel as comfortable as possible. With this in mind, we treat all children as if they were our own.
Your child's radiology images are available instantly to your physican through our digital imaging system.
Our doctors are board certified radiologists trained specifically in performing and interpreting pediatric diagnostic procedures. They work hand-in-hand with your child's primary physician to determine the most appropriate diagnostic procedure for obtaining an accurate diagnosis.
Our staff members and technologists are specifically selected for their patience and ability to understand children of various ages. Continuing education is provided to our staff to maintain a high level of proficiency, improve service, and teach new techniques and procedures. Age-specific communication training is required for all employees of the radiology/imaging department. This ensures use of the best communication skills to put your child at ease.
