Walmart/Sam's Club Fundraising Campaign
Monday, August 29 - Sunday, October
Help support the kids at CHKD while running errands or grocery shopping! Area
Walmart and Sam's Club locations will be holding their annual fundraising
campaign August 29 through October 9 to benefit CHKD. Make a donation when
checking out and make a difference for the kids at CHKD.
Grab a Gallon of Love
Thursday, September 1- Friday, September 30
Beat the last of the summer heat with delicious Iced Tea from
Chick-fil-A! During the month of September, you can purchase a gallon of
Chick-fil-A's Iced Tea and support the kids at Children's Hospital of The
King's Daughters at the same time! Virginia Beach and Peninsula
Chick-fil-A locations will donate $1 from every gallon of Iced Tea purchased to
CHKD, throughout September.
Wednesday, September 21
partnership with Walmart and Sam's Club, Children’s Hospital of The King’s
Daughters will host the second annual Charity Golf Tournament to benefit CHKD.
Join us September 21 at Ford’s Colony Golf Club in Williamsburg, VA.
Registration is $250 per individual and $900 a foursome. Fees include 18-hole
Scramble Tournament, Greens Fees, Golf Cart and Lunch, Prizes for Course

22nd Annual Harvest Faire
Friday, October 7- Sunday, October 9
Harvest Faire, the Virginia Peninsula’s oldest
Renaissance Festival, will return to Newport News to celebrate its 22nd season
October 7-9, 2016. The Faire is held at Endview Plantation, 362 Yorktown
Rd. Come and enjoy medieval combat and encampments, knights on horseback,
live music and dance, merchants, food and period games. You don’t need to
wear a costume and we don’t mind if you do wear one. Discount advance
weekend tickets are available at harvestfaire.org. This year’s recipient

20th Annual Bronco FCU Golf Tournament
Monday, October 10
Bronco Federal Credit Union is proud to
announce its 20th Annual Golf Tournament benefiting the Children’s Hospital of
the King’s Daughters. Registration begins at 12:00 noon with a shotgun start at
1:00 pm. The cost for this event is $85 per golfer or $340 per foursome. This
price includes 18 holes of golf, cart, greens fees, 2 mulligans per player, one
power mulligan per team, on course refreshments, buffet dinner, and door
prizes. Registration forms may be picked up at any Bronco FCU location or forms

27th Annual Tidewater Gasoline Retailers Golf
Wednesday, October 12
Sponsored by Anheuser-Busch and Atlantic Dominion Distributors, the annual
charity golf tournament will be held at Oceana Aeropine Golf Club on Wednesday,
October 12. Registration is $125 per player and includes greens fees, cart,
lunch and dinner, beverages, prizes, awards and complimentary gifts.

14th Annual Virginia Fall Classic
Friday, October 21- Sunday, October 23
The Virginia Peninsula Car Club Council, in association with the City of
Newport News, invites you to attend the 14th Annual Virginia Fall Classic held
at the Newport News City Park and Ferguson Enterprises Inc. All proceeds from
the 3-day event benefit Children's Hospital of The King's Daughters. Events
include cruise-ins, dinner, music, car/truck/bike shows and much more! There is

94.9 The Point Radiothon
Wednesday, November 16- Friday, November 18
Wednesday, November 16, at 7 a.m. and running through Friday, November 18, at 6
p.m., 94.9 The Point will host its 15th annual Radiothon to benefit the kids at
CHKD. Help us raise more than $300,000 in these short three days as every dollar
counts. Tune in and hear the amazing stories of CHKD patients who overcame
great odds to survive illnesses and traumatic events. Plus, listen to great
music all day. The Morning Point’s crew, Mike Powers and Woo-Woo,
will broadcast the Radiothon live from the TowneBank Atrium at CHKD in

Breakfast With Santa

The King’s Daughters invite you to Breakfast with Santa with Busch Gardens
Christmas Town at the Norfolk Waterside Marriott. Enjoy live holiday
performances, children’s activities, interactive train display, silent auction
of trees, gingerbread creations, and gifts or the opportunity to create a
handmade gift to send to a patient at CHKD. $25 tickets to the event also
include a buffet breakfast and a digital photo with Santa for each child!

Collector Santa Sales
Thursday, November 24- Thursday, December 24
Ho! Ho! Ho! Give Santa a helping hand in making all of our children’s
holiday wishes come true by purchasing one or several Clothtique Santa
figurines by Possible Dreams. They come in a variety of themes featuring
Santa in sports, with a pet, by the sea, and in traditional holiday settings --
a true collector’s item (and some have already been retired). Get

hero, David Wright from the New York Mets, as he supports CHKD for a night of
fun! The event will be held at the Virginia Beach Convention Center and will
include a Poker Tournament and other casino games including craps, roulette,

2nd Annual Mom Prom - This Event is SOLD OUT
Saturday, February 4
Grab your girlfriends and your mothers and
come support CHKD at the 2nd Annual Mom Prom on Saturday, February 4
at the Sheraton Waterside. Mom Prom is a ladies night out for CHKD in which
women wear their old prom gowns, bridesmaids dresses, wedding gowns, or
anything fun hanging in your closet! This is a wonderful, hilarious evening
where women can dance the night away, have fun with friends and family, and
help a worthy cause.
