October 

Coins for Kids
Wednesday, October 1 - Friday, October 31 

October is Coins for Kids Month.  All month long, collect spare change and watch your fundraising totals grow! Being a part of Coins for Kids is a fun and easy way to give back to your community leading up to the 13th Annual 94.9 The Point Radiothon.  All of the money you raise helps local kids being treated at CHKD. Small change can make a BIG difference. Sign up for free at www.chkd.org/coins4kids

Long John Silver's
Wednesday, October 1 - Friday, October 31

Visit any local Long John Silver’s restaurant during the month of October and support the kids!  They will be selling icons to benefit CHKD. Visit Long John Silver's to find a location near you.

25th Annual Tidewater Gasoline Retailers Golf Tournament 
Rain Date: Wednesday, October 29 

Sponsored by Anheuser-Busch and Atlantic Dominion Distributors, the annual charity golf tournament will be held at Oceana Aeropines Golf Club on Wednesday, October 29. Registration is $125 per player and includes greens fees, cart, lunch and dinner, beverages, prizes, awards and complimentary gifts. Sponsorships are available. Extra Life 24-Hour Gaming Marathon
Saturday, October 25

This year, when you sign up to play games for 24 hours; you won’t just be raising money for kids. You’ll be supporting LOCAL kids and their families at Children’s Hospital of The King’s Daughters. National Game Day will begin at exactly 8 a.m. on Saturday, October 25, and ends at 8 a.m. on Sunday, October 26. Do you want to have more fun than you can handle while helping some of the bravest (and smallest) warriors in your community? Play all types of games for 24 hours – from PS4 to poker on your phone, everything counts – even Facebook games. Register and create your personal fundraising page at http://www.extra-life.org/ and have friends and family members sponsor you at $1 per hour ($24 each).

12th Annual Virginia Fall Classic 
Friday, October 24 - Sunday October 26

The Virginia Peninsula Car Club Council, in association with the City of Newport News, invites you to attend the 12th Annual Virginia Fall Classic held at the Newport News City Park and Ferguson Enterprises Inc. All proceeds from the three-day event benefit CHKD. Events include cruise-ins, dinner, music, car/truck/bike shows and much more. There is truly something for everyone at the Virginia Fall Classic. BuiLDiNG STReNGTH FoR OuR KiDS
Sunday, November 9

Support the pediatric cancer program at CHKD on October 26 at Brickheadz. Have fun building Lego robots, cars, and cities. Make a Minecraft ornament for the holidays, or play computer games and other building activities. Brickheadz is located at 1525 Technology Drive in Chesapeake. Breakfast with Santa
Saturday, November 15

The King’s Daughters invites you to Breakfast with Santa presented by Busch Gardens Christmas Town on Saturday, November 15 from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. at The Founders Inn, Virginia Beach. This is a great day for children and adults alike. There will be live entertainment (provided by The Hurrah Players, Vincent Yi pianist, The Governor’s School for the Arts, and students from ODU), children’s activities (provided by Busch Gardens Williamsburg, Brickheadz Chesapeake, and KD Junior Circles), and an interactive train display (provided by Atlantic Coast “S” Gaugers Tidewater Division). Don’t miss the silent auction of trees, gingerbread creations, and the opportunity to create a handmade gift to send to a patient at CHKD. Tickets are $25 per person and include a wonderful buffet breakfast and a digital copy of a photo with Santa for each child!  Tickets are available online at www.KingsDaughters.org/BreakfastwithSanta or by calling (757) 668-7098.

94.9 The Point Radiothon
Tuesday, November 18 - Friday, November 21 

Beginning Tuesday, November 18, at 7 a.m. and running through Friday, November 21, at 6 p.m., 94.9 The Point will host its 13th annual Radiothon to benefit the kids at CHKD. Tune in and hear the amazing stories of CHKD patients who overcame great odds to survive illnesses and traumatic events. The Morning Point’s crew, Mike Powers and Woo-Woo, will broadcast the Radiothon live from the CHKD lobby in Norfolk.

Collector Santa Sales
Thursday, November 27 - Tuesday, December 23

Ho! Ho! Ho! Give Santa a helping hand in making all of our children’s holiday wishes come true by purchasing one or several Clothtique Santa figurines by Possible Dreams. They come in a variety of themes featuring Santa in sports, with a pet, by the sea, and in traditional holiday settings -- a true collector’s item (and some have already been retired). Get yours today by visiting any of these restaurants: 456 Fish, Byrd & Baldwin Bros. Steakhouse, Big Easy Grill & Oyster Bar, 219 An American Bistro, Norfolk Seafood, and Bodega on Granby. Figurines will be displayed at the restaurants and available for purchase for a donation of $50, with 100% of the proceeds benefitting CHKD.

Moonlight & Mistletoe 
Saturday, December 6 

Join The King's Daughters, the founding organization of CHKD, at the 2nd annual Moonlight & Mistletoe – an elegant and fun evening to benefit children in our community.  Join us and enjoy an evening of dining, drinks, and dancing to the sounds of Strictly Bizzness, also featuring an amazing silent auction and must have luxury live auction packages emceed by David Parker.  Don’t miss this fabulous night at the Norfolk Waterside Marriott  in downtown Norfolk.  The fun begins at 6:30 p.m. And you won’t want to miss this - The Dr. Donald W. Lewis award will be presented to CHKD’s Dr. C.W. 5th Annual David Wright Vegas Night
Friday, January 23 

Get your poker faces ready and come out to join our hometown hero, David Wright of the New York Mets, as he supports CHKD for a night of fun. The event will be held at the Virginia Beach Convention Center and will include a poker tournament and other casino games including craps, roulette, horse racing and blackjack as well as a live and silent auction. PAHS/CHS CHKD Love Run

Join Princess Anne High School and Cox High School in Virginia Beach on Saturday, February 7, as they host the 11th Annual Love Run 5K to benefit CHKD. Kohl's Cares About Kids
Committed to kid’s health and education, Kohl’s offers exclusive editions of different popular children’s books and coordinating plush toys throughout the year with proceeds supporting programs within their local communities.  Retailing for $5 apiece, all proceeds from these sales in our community will be donated to support outreach and education programs at CHKD through the Kohl's Cares program.
