September 

Grab a Gallon of Love
Monday, September 1 - Tuesday, September 30

Beat the last of the summer heat with delicious Iced Tea!  During the month of September, you can purchase a gallon of Chick-fil-A's Iced Tea and support the kids at Children's Hospital of The King's Daughters at the same time!  Participating Chick-fil-A locations will donate $1 from every gallon of Iced Tea purchased to CHKD, throughout September.

Children's Book Launch to Support CHKD NICU
Monday, September 1 - Tuesday, September 30 

Best-selling, award-winning author, Danielle Leibovici, LMFT, announces the release of Waiting for Emma: A Brothers Story (For Siblings and Families with Babies in the NICU) -- a children’s picture-book that offers gentle support and useful resources to all family members of NICU preemies and newborns. “When all NICU family members feel better supported,” Leibovici says, “their newborn babies are better supported, too." During the Month of September,  100% of the proceeds from the sale of these books will be donated to the NICU at CHKD. CHKD Miracle Jeans Day
Wednesday, September 10

Go casual for the kids on September 10th. Sign up your company or organization and encourage colleagues to participate in Miracle Jeans Day. For just $5, you can show your support of CHKD and wear jeans on a Wednesday. Click here to register. For more information, call 668-7070.

Farm Fresh Round Up
Sunday, September 7- Saturday, September 20  

Shoppers at area Farm Fresh stores can "round up" their grocery bills to the next even dollar- or even add more dollars- with the additional money benefitting the children treated for cancer and other blood disorders at CHKD's childhood cancer program.

“Links for Life” Charity Golf Tournament
Tuesday, September 16 

Join SLAIT Fundraising on Tuesday, September 16th at Virginia Beach National for the 15th Annual “Links for Life” Charity Golf Tournament to benefit Children’s Hospital of The King’s Daughters. For more information, contact Bob Hutchison at bob.hutchison@slaitconsulting.com

CHKD Charity Golf Tournament
Wednesday, September 17 

In partnership with Walmart and Sam's Club, Children’s Hospital of The King’s Daughters will host the first annual Charity Golf Tournament to benefit CHKD. Join us September 17th at Ford’s Colony Golf Club in Williamsburg, VA. Registration is $250 per individual and $900 a foursome. Fees include 18-hole Scramble Format Tournament, Greens Fees, Golf Cart and Lunch, Prizes for Course Events, Raffle Drawings, and Awards Reception. Virginia Credit Union League Tidewater Chapter Charity Golf Challenge
Thursday, September 18 

Join the Tidewater Chapter of the Virginia Credit Union League for the Second Annual Golf Challenge! Format will be four-man captain’s choice, early bird special until July 31, 2014 is $100 per player, after that the cost will be $125 per player. Cost includes a continental breakfast, carts, range balls, green fees and cookout lunch. Proceeds will benefit Children’s Hospital of the King’s Daughters, your local Children’s Miracle Network Hospital. Event will be held rain or shine at Sewells Point Golf Course in Norfolk. 24th Annual Charity Golf Tournament sponsored by W.M. Jordan Company
Thursday, October 2 

Join W.M. Jordan Company on Thursday, October 2nd, as they host their 24th annual golf tournament to benefit CHKD. The tournament will be held at the Golden Horseshoe Golf Resort at 401 South England Street in Williamsburg, VA. There will be an 11:30 a.m. shotgun start. Entry fee includes greens fees, golf cart, practice range, boxed lunch, a cocktail reception and various event giveaways. One Night Country
Sunday, October 5

Bar Productions Presents: One Country Night. Join them Sunday, October 5th from 7pm-10pm at the Chesapeake Conference Center for a night of country music entertainment to benefit CHKD. Admission is $12 and is open to the public. For more information, contact Ashley Lockhart 757-233-0552.

Play 4 CHKD
Saturday, October 11 

Christopher Newport University Field Hockey invites you to joins them on Saturday October 11th for Play for CHKD Day (P4CHKD). P4CHKD is about providing young, local players with the opportunity to participate in a collegiate experience with college players running the tournament just for them! CNU players will officiate and coach during the tournament. Admission for spectators is $5 for adults and $3 for children and students. All participants (in uniform) and coaches are free. Ajarn Bryan Dobler Muay Thai KickboxingSeminar
Saturday, October 11 -- Sunday, October 12 

Get ready to kick for a cause! IMPACT Martial Arts Academy will be hosting Ajarn Bryan Dobler on October 11th and 12th from 10am-4pm to teach a Muay Thai Kickboxing seminar. 25th Annual Tidewater Gasoline Retailers Golf Tournament 
Wednesday, October 22 

Sponsored by Anheuser-Busch and Atlantic Dominion Distributors, the annual charity golf tournament will be held at Oceana Aeropines Golf Club on Wednesday, October 22nd. Registration is $125 per player and includes greens fees, cart, lunch and dinner, beverages, prizes, awards and complimentary gifts. Sponsorships are available. Extra Life 24-Hour Gaming Marathon
Saturday, October 25

This year, when you sign up to play games for 24 hours; you won’t just be raising money for kids. You’ll be supporting LOCAL kids and their families at Children’s Hospital of The King’s Daughters. National Game Day will begin at exactly 8am on Saturday, October 25th, and ends at 8am on Sunday, October 26th. Do you want to have more fun than you can handle while helping some of the bravest (and smallest) warriors in your community? Play all types of games for 24 hours – from PS4 to poker on your phone, everything counts - even Facebook games! 12th Annual Virginia Fall Classic 
Saturday, October 26  

The Virginia Peninsula Car Club Council, in association with the City of Newport News, invites you to attend the 12th Annual Virginia Fall Classic held at the Newport News City Park and Ferguson Enterprises Inc. All proceeds from the three-day event benefit CHKD. Events include cruise-ins, dinner, music, car/truck/bike shows and much more. There is truly something for everyone at the Virginia Fall Classic. 94.9 The Point Radiothon
Tuesday, November 18 - Friday, November 21 

Beginning Tuesday, November 18, at 7 a.m. and running to Friday, November 21, at 6 p.m., 94.9 The Point will host its 13th annual Radiothon to benefit the kids at CHKD. Tune in and hear the amazing stories of CHKD patients who overcame great odds to survive illnesses and traumatic events. The Morning Point’s crew, Mike Powers and Woo-Woo, will broadcast the Radiothon live from the CHKD lobby in Norfolk.

5th Annual David Wright Vegas Night
Friday, January 23 

Get your poker faces ready and come out to join our hometown hero, David Wright from the New York Mets, as he supports CHKD for a night of fun. The event will be held at the Virginia Beach Convention Center and will include a Poker Tournament and other casino games including craps, roulette, horse racing and blackjack as well as a live and silent auction. Kohl's Cares About Kids
Committed to kid’s health and education, Kohl’s offers exclusive editions of different popular children’s books and coordinating plush toys throughout the year with proceeds supporting programs within their local communities.  Retailing for $5 apiece, all proceeds from these sales in our community will be donated to support outreach and education programs at CHKD through the Kohl's Cares program.
