Bio
Kari has been working in dietetics for over 12 years, covering lifespan nutrition in various settings. At CHKD, she is the clinical hematology and oncology dietitian and specifically oversees the Inpatient unit as well as the Children’s Cancer and Blood Disorders Center. Kari works closely with cancer and blood disorder patients and their families to address all nutrition concerns whether that be hydration, vitamin and mineral balance, weight loss, weight gain, enteral and parenteral nutrition support, or oral nutrition supplementation.
Kari has worked with a variety of age groups during her career, but working with children has been the most rewarding for her. Everyone she works with is focused on providing the best care for children and their families.
