Bio
Dr. Saini is a pediatric and adult congenital cardiologist. Originally from India, he graduated from Government Medical College and Hospital, in Chandigarh, India, where he also completed a residency in pediatrics. He went on to complete an additional
residency in pediatrics at William Beaumont Children’s Hospital in Michigan and a pediatric cardiology fellowship at Penn State Hershey Children’s Hospital in Pennsylvania. Dr. Saini served as medical staff for 10 years at the Pediatric and Adult Congenital Heart Center at Akron Children’s Hospital and The
Cleveland Clinic before moving to the Hampton Roads area.
Dr. Saini has a special interest in adult congenital heart disease, Fontan circulation, congenital heart disease in pregnancy, Turner syndrome, Kawasaki disease, aortopathies, echocardiography and exercise stress testing. He is certified by the American Board Pediatrics in
pediatrics and pediatric cardiology, the American Board of Internal Medicine in adult congenital heart disease and certified through the National Board of Echocardiography.
Dr. Saini is a member of the American College of Cardiology, International Society of Adult Congenital Heart Disease, and the American Society of Echocardiography
Outside of medicine, Dr. Saini is an avid sports follower. He enjoys watching multiple sports and particularly enjoys playing field hockey and cricket. He enjoys spending time with his wife and three daughters. He is an amateur golfer and enjoys travel and visiting museums and
national parks.
