Bio
Born in Ohio and raised in New Jersey, Mira Thigpen moved to North Carolina to attend East Carolina University where she graduated with a bachelor’s in nursing and began working in pediatric intensive care. She subsequently attended Vanderbilt University where she graduated with a master’s degree as a pediatric
acute care nurse practitioner.
Mira’s decision to become a practitioner was driven by her personal experience receiving healthcare. Her goal as a pediatric acute care nurse practitioner is to provide excellent care and communication to patients and their families.
Mira currently lives in eastern North Carolina with her husband where they foster dogs for a local nonprofit animal rescue.
