Bio
Dr. Shomaker is a
board-certified pediatrician at CHKD, and is currently the director of
the Division of Pediatric Hospital Medicine. She enjoys teaching
families, students, and residents about the evidence-based, inpatient care
of children.
Dr. Shomaker completed
her pediatric residency training and chief residency at the University of North
Carolina Children's Hospital in Chapel Hill. She spent a year in
Australia gaining additional neonatology experience prior to beginning her
career as a pediatric hospitalist in 2007. She has been with the Division of Pediatric Hospital Medicine at CHKD since 2009.
