Bio
Amanda Bartolome is a licensed professional counselor who has a passion for providing safe and effective mental health care to children and adolescents. Amanda earned her bachelor’s degree in psychology with a concentration in cognitive neuroscience from Temple University, and her master’s
in clinical mental health counseling from Old Dominion University.
Amanda utilizes a strengths and person-centered approach to counseling to create a supportive and empowering environment for all patients and their families. She has experience working with individuals with a variety of mental health concerns and has worked in
CHKD’s intensive outpatient program and Bridge Crisis Clinic. Currently, Amanda supports CHKD’s Virginia Beach City Public Schools Bridge partnership program and outpatient therapy team.
Amanda is certified in a modular approach to therapy for children with anxiety, depression, trauma and conduct problems and mindfulness-based stress reduction therapy.
Outside of work, Amanda enjoys reading, traveling, and spending time with her friends, family,
and two dogs.
