Dr. Wallen has come full circle and is thrilled to be joining Chesapeake Pediatrics, the practice she attended as a child that inspired her to become a pediatrician. Born and raised in Chesapeake, Virginia, Dr. Wallen then graduated with a bachelor’s in biology from Virginia Tech and continued on to medical school in Blacksburg, VA at Edward Via College of Osteopathic Medicine. She then returned home to Hampton Roads to complete her residency training and serve as a chief resident at CHKD.

Dr. Wallen has a passion for newborn care and development, as well as caring for medically complex children. She finds joy in forming lasting relationships with all patients and their families.

In her free time, Dr. Wallen enjoys spending time with her husband, her family and her two dogs. She enjoys reading, kayaking, hiking and yoga.
