Bio
Dr. Rafferty was born in Latrobe, PA, and graduated from Bucknell University with a degree in elementary education, then moved to Virginia to teach elementary school for Chesapeake Public Schools. She enjoyed two years as a third-grade classroom teacher and had the opportunity to coach high school volleyball prior to pursuing her childhood dream of becoming a pediatrician.
After earning a biology degree at Old Dominion University and because she loves all that Hampton Roads has to offer, she chose to attend medical school at EVMS and complete her residency training at CHKD before joining Chesapeake Pediatrics in August 2017.
In her free time, Dr. Rafferty enjoys biking, paddle boarding and spending time at the beach with family and friends.

A Note from Dr. Rafferty
"CHKD truly feels like a family and I cannot imagine working with a more compassionate, dedicated group of physicians. Having previously taught elementary school in Chesapeake, I am excited to continue to serve the children in the area, now as their pediatrician."
