"The reasons why CHKD is great and what bought me here is due to their goal of making a difference in not only the children's lives, but also the families."

Bio
Growing up, I always knew I wanted to be in the medical field; just unsure of where I would land. I started my journey as an Emergency Medical Technician after high school and then received a Bachelor's degree in Science from Ferrum College in 2013. After that I was accepted into Jefferson College of Health Sciences' Nursing Program, where I earned my Bachelor's of Science in Nursing.
I chose to pursue nursing not only for the bedside care and patient advocacy aspects, but for the continuity of care surrounding each child that I care for as they grow up. I am passionate about seeing patients improve over an extended period of time, in addition to having the opportunity to have a positive influence on them and their health. I grew up in a nurturing household with very involved family members, so I appreciate the importance and benefit of our youth having that positive influence in their lives. I am looking forward to being able to provide that same experience to the children of CHKD.
