She was born and raised just outside of Baltimore, where she lived until she moved to Michigan for her undergraduate degree at the University of Michigan.

After college, she spent two years in AmeriCorps helping the medically underserved.

She returned to the East Coast to attend medical school at Temple University in Philadelphia. Dr. Hunt graduated as a member of the Gold Humanism Honor Society, a lifetime medical honor society that recognizes physicians who exemplify excellence in clinical care, leadership, compassion, and dedication to service.

She did her residency in pediatrics at Akron Children's Hospital in Ohio and stayed an extra year to share her love of pediatrics with medical students and residents as chief resident of the program.

Dr. Hunt is new to the state of Virginia. She moved here with her husband and twin daughters when her husband was stationed at Naval Medical Center Portsmouth with the Air Force.

In her free time, Dr. Hunt loves spending time outdoors, reading, and finding the best places to eat.
