Bio

Dr. Gabriel has come full circle joining in PDC Pediatrics, the practice she attended as a child. She brings with her a decade of experience working at CHKD as a gastroenterology clinician, emergency room physician, and newborn nursery hospitalist.

Through her work, Dr. Gabriel has developed a keen understanding of evidence-based practices as well as a firm belief in nutrition as medicine. She sees the value in treating the whole person and has developed an additional interest in integrative/complementary and alternative medicine. Dr. Gabriel is an educator and empowers her patients’ families with the knowledge to develop a deeper understanding of how to nurture their children. Dr. Gabriel loves working with new parents and, as a mom of five, also enjoys the fun dynamic of caring for large families.

Born and raised in Norfolk, she comes from a big Greek family, and her parents are proud first-generation Americans. She attended undergrad and medical school locally, graduating top of her class while staying very active with her city, schools, family, and church. She continues to enjoy living, working, and volunteering in Hampton Roads.

Dr. Gabriel and her husband, a VA Symphony musician and fine arts educator with Virginia Beach Public Schools, have five young children. Combining her love of community, children, and education, she is a long-standing volunteer in Norfolk’s schools. Dr. Gabriel and her family love spending time together cooking, adventuring outdoors on nature trails, and in the local waterways of Hampton Roads where she began her service to children long ago as a camp counselor and canoeing/kayaking instructor.
