Born and raised in Suffolk, Virginia, Amber Hamilton is a pediatric nurse practitioner at Tidewater Children’s Associates.
Amber earned her master’s degree from Maryville University in St. Louis, Missouri, with a 4.0 grade point average.
Amber has more than seven years of experience as a pediatric registered nurse and is a lactation consultant. She became an International Board Certified Lactation Consultant (IBCLC) in September 2022.
Amber is passionate about pediatric preventative healthcare, breastfeeding, culturally competent care, evidence-based practice, and much more. She aspires to use her diverse experience in pediatric healthcare and clinical training to fulfill her role as a nurse practitioner at CHKD.
When she’s not working, Amber likes to spend time with her three mastiffs.
