Bio
Dr. Gyr arrived at CHKD following nine years at Brenner Children's Hospital of Wake Forest Baptist Health. While there, she was on the staff at Wake Forest University School of Medicine, where she served as medical director of the human performance and biomechanics laboratory and as an associate professor of orthopedic surgery and pediatrics. Prior to that she was a staff surgeon at Shriner's Hospital for Children in Minneapolis.
She enjoys taking
care of children of all ages with a wide variety of orthopedic conditions,
from complex congenital deformities to acute injuries, and from newborns to
teenagers.
In her free
time, she enjoys adventure travel, hiking, bicycle touring, and spending time with
family and friends.
