Personal Statement
I feel blessed to have had CHKD be there for my family and friends when we have needed them. As a part of this organization, I now have the opportunity to give back and to be a blessing to the family and friends of many others in the community. CHKD is answering a need in our community through their mental heath program and I am so excited to be a part of it.
Bio
Michelle Eynon is a psychiatric-mental health nurse practitioner in CHKD's mental health program. She was born and raised in the Hampton Roads area, and began working as a registered nurse shortly after graduating from Old Dominion University.
She decided to return to ODU to become a nurse practitioner, and became board certified as a women's health nurse practitioner in 2008. She spent many years in this specialty before seeking more education in psychiatry.
She attended Liberty University to become a psychiatric-mental health nurse practitioner and is now double board certified.
Michelle Eynon recently discovered a new love of the outdoors and enjoys camping and hiking. She can also often be found with her nose in a book with her German Shepherd by her side. She is married to Josh and has two children. Her oldest is also pursuing a career in mental health and works at a state hospital for children and adolescents.
