Bio
Originally from Arlington, VA, CHKD is like home for Dr. Ma. While growing up, his family often vacationed in Virginia Beach, and his father's job at the Naval Research Lab often brought the whole family to the Hampton Roads area.
Dr. Ma feels he has joined a team that will allow him to leave his mark on an excellent program, emphasizing CHKD's focus on providing high-quality, evidence-based care for pediatric cardiac patients. The openness and transparency in the multidisciplinary decision-making process of the institution, and its willingness to
reach out to the University of Virginia in partnership in delivery of complex
care, were key to his decision to join CHKD.
Dr. Ma enjoys the opportunity to take care of patients as well as work with staff
from such a diverse area and always looks forward to the opportunity to providing each family and child with the best possible care.
