Bio
A graduate of the University of Virginia, Dr. Ramirez worked in clinical medicine and
research at Georgetown University prior to entering medical school. After
completion of her residency and fellowship programs, she returned to the Tidewater area to
join the Pediatric Emergency Department at CHKD.
Dr. Ramirez has a special
interest in education and has developed curriculum for resident and
student courses and is active in medical student, resident and fellow
education.
She became the Pediatric Residency Director in 2013. In
addition, she is dedicated to healthcare improvement resulting in a safer
environment for all patients. She currently serves as the Associate
Medical Director for Quality and Patient Safety.
