Bio
Dr. Penn is a
native Virginian, born and raised in Richmond. She attended Eastern Virginia Medical School and after completing her medical training in Charleston, SC, and
Philadelphia she returned to Richmond to practice as a pediatric endocrinologist. She is incredibly excited to be back in Hampton Roads.
Dr. Penn has
a special interest in Type 1 diabetes and transgender medicine. She has been
actively involved in the Central Virginia diabetes community and Juvenile
Diabetes Research Foundation. She founded and co-directed the Pediatric and
Adolescent Transgender Clinic in Richmond.
