Bio

Born and raised in New York, Dr. Natinder Saini is a board-certified pediatric endocrinologist. Her passion for the care of underserved communities took her to India where she completed medical school training at Dayanand Medical College in Punjab, India. She subsequently returned to New York to complete her pediatric residency at New York-Presbyterian Brooklyn Methodist Hospital and fellowship training at the University of Michigan-C.S. Mott Children’s Hospital.

Dr. Saini believes in the principles of leaving no child behind and treating every family as one’s own. She is a strong advocate for access to equitable family-centered care and the need to address health disparities in the community.

Dr. Saini comes to CHKD with more than a decade of experience in developing interdisciplinary collaborations and partnerships, which helped to expand care for patients with Turner syndrome and those with endocrine complications of obesity in the previous communities where she served. She is committed to continuing these efforts, as well as developing a seamless conduit for pediatric to adult care transition.

In addition to her clinical interests, Dr. Saini thrives on the cultivation of medical education at all levels. This includes medical student and resident lectures and academic mentorship of undergraduate scientists through the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation (JDRF) scholars’ program.

Dr. Saini spends her free time listening and dancing to folk music with her husband and three daughters. She especially enjoys testing her culinary skills with global fusion delicacies.
