Bio
Dr. Lapsia graduated Magna Cum Laude from Boston University with a dual
degree in biology and psychology. He was then accepted into Boston University's Modular
Medical Integrated Curriculum and as an undergrad at BU was able to take
medical school classes at Boston University's School of Medicine.
While serving his pediatric residency at Stony Brook University in Long
Island, NY, he fell in love with pediatric gastroenterology. He subsequently
started fellowship training there and was involved in several research projects
and helped introduce fecal transplants into the hospital.
Dr. Lapsia recently began partaking in a multi-center collaborative under the ImproveCareNow Network that provides quality improvement techniques and tools that enable participating care providers to achieve the
model inflammatory bowel disease (IBD) care practices. It is supported by the American Board of Pediatrics,
the Alliance for Pediatric Quality, the Centers for Education and Research in
Therapeutics, the US Agency for Health Care Quality and Research, the National
Institutes of Health, and participating institutions.
He has presented his research in
national meetings and strives to provide excellent care to all his patients.
