Jennifer Kayton, NP-C

College: Old Dominion University

Jennifer Kayton's experience at CHKD began when she was 18 years old: She was a patient in the pediatric intensive care unit, which inspired her to return to work here.

She did two years of volunteer work at CHKD, beginning in 2001. The Old Dominion University graduate became a nursing care partner in 2003, and then a nurse in the renal dialysis clinic in 2005. She is now a dialysis nurse practitioner in the nephrology department.

She has a special interest in helping patients with chronic care.

Jennifer Kayton grew up in Virginia Beach, now lives in Chesapeake with her wife and five children. She enjoys sports, exercise, and travel.
