Bio
M. Ann Kuhn, M.D., is a Board Certified Pediatric and General Surgeon. She graduated from Marshall University School of Medicine in West Virginia. She completed her General Surgery Residency at The Ohio State University and completed her Fellowship in Pediatric Surgery at University of Oklahoma. Among those she has completed a trauma/research fellowship at Nationwide Children’s Hospital in Columbus, Ohio and completed a wound healing research fellowship at the Institute for Tissue Regeneration, Repair, and Rehabilitation at the Bay Pines Veterans Affairs Medical Center in Florida.
Dr. Kuhn joined Children’s Surgical Specialty Group, Inc., in the Department of Pediatric Surgery in 2005 at CHKD with special interests in trauma and burns. She has been responsible for pioneering research developments/collaborations for the trauma program. Dr. Kuhn has helped develop current vascular access infection plans that have been a monumental contribution to her role as medical director of the vascular access team.
Dr. Kuhn is currently Assistant Professor of Clinical Surgery and Pediatrics in the Department of Surgery and the Vice Chair, Surgery, Department of Pediatrics at Eastern Virginia Medical School. She is currently the Medical Director of Trauma Services and Medical Director of Vascular Access at Children’s Hospital of The King’s Daughters.
